The Art that Inspires

Home The Journal The Art that Inspires

For anyone who knows me and my history, you know how much I love snowboarding. I began my film journey in High school creating skating and extreme sport highlight videos. They were shot on a dv camera and edited on machine with knobs, togs, and wheels. I loved the “hands on” editing approach and fell in love with telling visual stories. I pursued this passion into college. In 2008 “That’s it That’s all” came out and it changed my life. I had never seen anything like it. It completely changed the industry and EVERYONE adapted (director) Curt Morgan’s style. Then in 2011 “The art of flight” came out and once again opened my eyes to the possibilities of cinema. I can still turn down the lights, turn up the volume, and sit in the dark to take in this beautiful film that combines two of my passions – music and videography. If you haven’t seen it and are interested, I highly recommenced this film. Worth the soundtrack alone.
